What is a Postnatal Doula
A postnatal doula provides valuable support and guidance to new parents during the postpartum period. They offer practical assistance with newborn care, breastfeeding, household tasks, and emotional support to ensure a smooth transition into parenthood. Their role is to empower parents and help them feel confident in their parenting journey.
What do I help with?
Emotional Support
Listen to how you feel without fear of judgment
Listen to your birth experience
Support you to make any decisions
Practical Support
Hold your baby (or babies) while you shower, rest, or do tasks you want to do
Cook Lunch
Household Tasks – Light tasks, putting washing on, picking up groceries, changing sheets.
Supporting using cloth nappies
Attending appointments or baby classes for the first time with you
Information and Signposting Support
Evidence-based information on safe sleeping, feeding, colic, digestive issues, and much more!
I work closely with local experts so if I can’t help then I know someone that can!
How do I do this
I come to your home for 2 or 3 hours at a time as well as providing WhatsApp Support
What I can’t help with
I am not a medical professional so I cannot give medical advice
Being solely responsible and alone (in the house) with an older child.
Changing nappies of an older child.
Household tasks – ironing, intense housework (such as cleaning bathrooms).

20 miles from Meldreth, SG8 which includes
Cambridge, Royston, Buntingford, Milton, Ardbury, Trumpington, The Shelfords, Sawston, Whittlesford, Duxford, Melbourn, Haslingfield, Harston, Ashwell, The Mordens, Comberton.

How much does it cost?
Single session (minimum 2 hours) £25/hour
Block Booking 10 hours £230
20 hours £450
30 hours £675
Hours are to be used in the fourth trimester (first three months after birth)
